HABILLE JUSQU' AUX NEUFS
"Habillé Jusqu' Aux Neufs" began life in response to an invitation to participate in a group show called 'Sample Sale', which took place at the Henn Gallery in Maastricht, NL, in 1995. The exhibition was curated by Nicolette Pot and Dees Linders, it took place from 9th to the 16th of December. (see below) The following year the Artist made a photographic work of himself wearing the 'hat' while leaning on it's support - also entitled "Habillé Jusqu' Aux Neufs" This Ciberchrome print is 152 x 108 cm and framed under glass. (see above and below).

SUPPLEMENT
"A 'Supplement' is something that is double, paradoxical and contradictory in its' nature and basic structure. It is by definition something extra added to a preexisting whole and therefor excluded from the whole and dependent on it. It is 'only a supplement' to the completed work. At the same time, however, a supplement supplies something lacking from the wholeness of the original work and reveals it as incomplete, precisely because it needs to be supplemented, needs to have its' deficiencies made up ... therefor both works are at once wholes and holes.
