LISTS

Andrew Webb has always made lists.  A vivid memory of the Artist is of a textile teacher on his foundation course called Elaine.  It was Elaine who said she hated people who made lists as the last thing on the list would be to die. The Lists of the Artist began to take this form (see above) in the late 1990's, when a close friend suggested
to the Artist that he should 'Save' them - which he has done ever since.

The Lists are shown here in chronological order. Most of the entries refer to the work of the Artist - a few are domestic reminders. As the actions are carried out, the thoughts put into being or recorded in note books, they are obliterated - the list becoming more 'abstract'.  When only a minimum of information remains a new list is begun.
