WAXING + WANNING
The Invitation for this exhibition was produced at the Bureau Du Port using the 'in-house' style regarding type face and setting, which was printed over left over galleys from the making of the catalogue "And Here's One From Me..." Chez Edith Doove, Bruxelles, 1995. The show was from the 17th of September until the 8th of October, 2005.

The Scottish flag, also known as the 'Saltire' hung in the corridor, at the entrance to the exhibition - the cross of the christian martyr St. Andrew, patron saint of Scotland. In 832AD St. Andrew appeared to King Agnus who was about to lead the Pics and Scots into battle against the Angles and assured him of victory. The next day a white Saltire was to be seen in the sky as Agnus defeated his enemy. Hanging the flag thus, the cross follows the perspective lines made by the walls meeting the floor and roof - placing the vanishing point on the center of the staircase at the end of the corridor.

For the duration of the exhibition Webb hung various objects in the main body of the Bureau Du Port - the workshop of Dialogist-Kantor. On their poster wall at the end of the studio, Webb pasted a poster, saved from his student days. Originally for an exhibition of the Canadian artist Ray O'Daly, the image shows Webb and fellow student Wendy Griffin posing in O'Daly's version of "The Arnolfini Marriage" by
Van Eyck.
